SIEMENS has with 250.000 business travelers worldwide a volume of individual hotel bookings of approximately 300 million Euro a year.
In March 1999 SIEMENS launched the SIEMENS TravelNet, an integrated web-based travel management tool, which enables the SIEMENS traveler to book flights, cars and hotels directly from his PC with real time availability. Each business trip is paid by SIEMENS corporate card (Amex).
Since 1998 DERTOUR is handling the contracting for individual hotel bookings as well as the technical support for online hotel bookings via the SIEMENS TravelNet.
The final decision which hotel becomes a SIEMENS preferred hotel is with the national and international SIEMENS travel managers. Each travel manager did a pre-selection for his country. Only for these pre-selected hotels the hotels/hotel chains are able to quote rates in ratefinding.com.
Please assure that the ratefinding process is completed latest by August 31st, 2007 since the internet portal will be closed the next day.
To guarantee availability for the preferred rates for SIEMENS from January 2008 onwards the agreed rates have to be loaded in Pegasus not later than November 15th, 2007.
